Details

Hi, my name is Bert Viloria and I'm a landscape, travel, and portraits photographer.  I love history and enjoy traveling to famous old landmarks and historical structures.  I believe that the only way to understand people is to actually be in their surroundings and understand their culture by 'walking in their shoes'.  I'm a big wine and food afficionado and love experiencing these culinary adventures here and overseas.

I have traveled all over the world and always on the lookout for that perfect shot including:

Europe (England, Ireland, France, Italy + Capri, Greece + Mykonos Crete Santorini Patmos

Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain + Mallorca, Czech Republic

Hungary, Turkey)

Caribbean Islands (Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, St Martin), Bermuda

Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Ensenada, Tijuana, Concordia,

Yucatan)

Asia (Philippines, Hongkong, Japan)

Canada (Toronto, Vancouver, St John, Halifax, Sydney, Regina)

USA (Almost all states and major cities including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands)

Photography is very special to me and the once mere hobby has grown to something more serious than the point and shoot variety.  I started with my first 35mm film non-digital camera, the Olympus Infinity 230, which was followed by my first digital camera, the Canon Powershot SD100 Elph.  Next, I moved on to the Canon PowerShot S3 IS which was still a point and shoot.  My first DSLR was the Canon T1i and then followed by the Canon T5i.  I have now moved on beyond the APS-C cropped format (T1i and T5i), into my first full frame format camera, the Canon 6D Mark II.  Great camera for portraits and landscape shots as only a full frame camera can do.  I have since recently moved on from the heavy 6D Mark II and traded it for a Canon EOS RP.  Lighter and mirror-less, the Canon EOS RP is the perfect camera for travel and I can now explore the world of RF lenses.  However, with the Canon EF-EFS adapter, I can still use my still wonderful Canon EF lenses.

UPDATE: 5-24-19 - I've added yet another camera to the Bert Viloria Photography arsenal, my new Canon EOS R.  The EOS R is the full frame big brother to the EOS RP, with 30.3 Mp sensor and with the latest Digic 8 processor and just now installed with the latest firmware 1.20 for handling AF Servo with the eye and face detection.  Its an awesome camera.

UPDATE: 6-22-20 - I've added another lens to the arsenal and its the Samyang 14mm F2.8 Super Wide Angle lens for the Canon RF mount.  I have taken the lens to its paces with some nice structure and landscape photos and its been amazing so far with the nice wide stretch with almost little to no distortion.  The auto focus is amazingly fast and correct, and the photo quality has been so far short of mind boggling.  The reach of this lens is so good and rich and accurate, its certainly a must have lens for all you landscape photographers out there.  Now, I have a new toy for the ages!

UPDATE 3-08-22 - New lens update! Loving my latest foray into bird photography, so I purchased the Canon RF 100mm-400mm telephoto lens.  Very light and very sharp.  It's a winner with the pocket and the image quality.  Now, I can shoot some wildlife with confidence! And now I have added the Canon 2x RF extender to the lens arsenal to extend the RF 100mm-400mm reach to 200mm-800mm focal length.  Amazing results!
